Refreshing User Data
User data, such as language and profile settings, personal texts, and templates, are by default stored in the appdata roaming folder.
It can happen that there is a user-specific problem that cannot be pinpointed. Refreshing the user data can then offer a solution.
Steps to refresh user data
Go to the user settings location (by default, type %appdata% in Windows Explorer; if this is not the location, check the registry for the PersonalFolder location), rename the 'Documentaal' folder. This is the folder where the user data is stored. Then restart Word or Outlook.
Please note: The default and favorite profiles and any language settings must be reconfigured.
When to apply refreshing user data?
- For inexplicable user-specific problems
- If profile settings appear corrupt
- For problems with personal texts or templates
