Select and Modify Text with Similar Formatting

When working intensively on a Word document, with content growing through numbered lists and references, and multiple people updating the document, formatting can sometimes become corrupted.

The program has the convenient 'Clear Formatting' functionality for this, but it can also happen that a formatting style appears in the document that is not present in the styles pane.

This style can be easily converted by clicking on the relevant text and choosing 'Home' tab → 'Editing' → 'Select' → 'Select Text with Similar Formatting'.

All text with that style will then be selected throughout the document. Then click on the desired style in the styles pane, and the entire document will be updated.
