Add-ins disabled by Microsoft

If dStyle (LegalWord) does not start, this may be due to several reasons:

  • dStyle (LegalWord) cannot find the "Shared" (or "Config") folder;
  • Microsoft Outlook has dStyle Outlook (or LegalWord Outlook) disabled in the application;
  • The registry keys are set to load behaviour 2 from Microsoft.

dStyle (LegalWord) cannot find the Shared (or Config) folder
dStyle (or LegalWord) consists of two parts: the Content and the Shared (Config) folder. If the Shared (Config) folder cannot be found, the ribbon will not load.
Verify that the path to Shared (Config) exists locally and/or on the network: Reg settings for Shared

Microsoft Outlook has disabled dStyle (LegalWord) in the application
When a plug-in loads too slowly, Microsoft Outlook gives the user the option to disable it. When a user clicks Yes, the application is disabled and placed on the "disabled list".
The user can enable the application by going to Outlook (or Word), Start, Options, Add-ins, Enable Add-ins and selecting dStyle or LegalWord.

Add-ins disabled

The Registry keys are set by Microsoft to load behaviour 2

The result of missing the Shared (Config) folder can cause Microsoft to completely disable dStyle (LegalWord). This happens within the Office registry and not in the registry settings of the Documentaal add-in.
Changing the "loading behaviour" does not work.

Administrators can remotely empty the following keys to clear the disabled add-in list. Update the loading behaviour afterwards to 3.
